WHAT TO EXPECT
Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a powerful tool, used by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to teach new skills to children with autism symptoms, ADHD, developmental delays and behavioral concerns. The process begins with an Intake Assessment to determine your child’s needs and skills assessment. Therapy sessions will be conducted in your home, the community, daycare, and/or school, based on the needs of your family to increase skill acquisition and decrease behaviors of concern.

VERBAL ACQUISITION
Increasing Communication
Many behaviors of concern for a family may stem from a reduced ability to communicate effectively. Functional Communication Therapy assists your child in learning to use words, signing, or assistive technology to express his or her needs and wants in a more effective manner.
SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAMS
Increasing Peer Play
During social skills training, your child will learn critical skills for playing appropriately with others, forming friendships, and engaging in meaningful conversations.
Reducing Problem Behaviors
Reducing maladaptive behaviors

We work with your family to reduce problem (maladaptive) behaviors and replace them with more functional and appropriate behaviors, ABA uses research based techniques to identify the function of behaviors (such as attention, escape, and access to items/activities). Families will learn to identify these functions and how to appropriately deal with problem behaviors so that they are reduced in frequency and intensity.
